Dorchester, Massachusetts — April 30, 2026 – PRESS RELEASE – Today, Governor Healey visited the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (NASRCC) training center in Dorchester, where the NASRCC officially endorsed Governor Healey and Lieutenant Governor Driscoll’s reelection campaign.

The NASRCC is part of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, one of North America’s largest building-trades unions, with nearly a half-million members. The NASRCC represents over 30,000 carpenters, pile drivers, shop and millmen, millwrights, and floorcoverers working in Massachusetts and New England.

Governor Healey issued an Executive Order that allowed project labor agreements (PLAs) for public work projects over 35 million dollars, creating thousands of good-paying jobs in Massachusetts and  establishing terms and conditions of employment for all involved.

Governor Healey has filed several legislative initiatives to strengthen job growth, including the BRIGHT Act, which would modernize higher education campuses and create more than a billion dollars of work in the process, and her DRIVE Initiative, investing in Massachusetts’ innovation economy and increasing job creation across sectors, including union jobs.

Throughout their first term, Governor Healey and Lieutenant Governor Driscoll have been strong supporters and advocates for working people, which is why they are the only candidates in this race that have earned endorsements from organized labor.
