Boston, MA, January 20, 2026 – Today, Governor Maura Healey and Lt. Governor Driscoll launched their reelection campaign, with a commitment to improve the lives of all Massachusetts families, lower costs, and stand up to the Trump Administration’s harms. The re-election was kicked off with a video and revamped website, just days before the Governor delivers her third State of the Commonwealth address.
You can watch the video here and visit the website at maurahealey.com. “I ran for Governor to show up for people who need someone in their corner, to lower costs and increase opportunities, and we’re getting things done,” said Governor Healey in her launch video. “But there’s more for us to do – a lot more – and that’s why I’m running for reelection: to lower costs, make life better, and stand up to Donald Trump.”
Her video and website highlight key accomplishments in her first term, including how Governor Healey:
- Eliminated renter’s fees and is building 100,000 new homes to lower the cost of housing.
- Capped health care deductibles and co-pays, the first Massachusetts Governor to do so.
- Opposed utility rate increases and proposed legislation to get charges off energy bills and save ratepayers $13 billion.
- Cut taxes for the first time in more than 20 years, providing savings for families, seniors, and small businesses.
- Protected SNAP from federal cuts, to feed kids and families.
- Turned around the MBTA, improving service and saving commuters time, and fixed roads in bridges in every corner of the state.
- Doubled funding for education, made school meals free, and invested in literacy, early college, and vocational schools. Massachusetts schools are now ranked the best in the nation.
- Made community college free to expand pathways to opportunities and jobs.
- Transformed our veterans’ homes to give our vets the care they deserve.
Governor Healey is pledging to build on this progress in her second term, with a focus on protecting our people and communities, defending health care and abortion rights, providing access to life-saving vaccines, making sure our children don’t go hungry, investing in research, creating jobs, and lowering costs for all.
