Constant Contact, CEO Gail Goodman to speak at Boston’s National Small Business Week Event

(NASDAQ: CTCT) CEO Gail Goodman will be the featured speaker during a May 15 event at the Microsoft New England R&D Center to kick off the Boston leg of National Small Business Week hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration.Through her work at Constant Contact, Goodman has revolutionized the way small businesses create and grow relationships with their customers.  A thought leader in online marketing, Goodman has long championed the needs of small businesses, and has led the charge in taking highly complex marketing tasks and making them incredibly accessible for even the most novice marketers. Her keynote address will help attendees understand how to tap into and effectively leverage the secret competitive advantage small businesses have over their larger competitors—the ability to forge enduring and authentic customer connections.

Every year since 1963, the SBA salutes outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S territories during National Small Business Week. This year, in addition to other SBA regional and local small business week events being held around the country, the cities of: Boston, San Francisco, Kansas City, and Washington, D.C. are hosting  national events the week of May 12-16.

Later that morning Microsoft Business Development Manager Allison Saltzer will lead a discussion on hi-tech and innovative business ideas with business leaders that include Rail-Pod founder Brendan English, Terrafugia CEO/CTO Carl Dietrich, MassChallenge founder and president Akhil Nigam,  Donna Levin from Care.com and Pravina Raghavan from SBA’s Office of Investment & Innovation.
